| Newcomers arriving |
05:30 Finally we are leaving at Jaga for the Burning Man festival.
Everyone arrives on time, or almost everyone. Only Barbara came a little late but she was worth waiting for.
After more than a hondred control posts and and with very nice new plastic transparant handbags we could finally leave to Frisco. It took 26 hours before we passed the United States passport checks. Everyone got in quite easily except for Barbara.
Was she suspected of carrying dynamite in her bra ? Luckely she used her feminin sex-appeal and made in the country. She’s awesome.
Big surprice; Jan Kriekels, the mentor of the project came to pick us up in person at the airport.
Were we happy to get a good nigth's rest in our motel. Jan too, could finally catch up some sleep.
Next day we left for a sightseeing tour towards Black Rock Desert. We passed the Rocky mountains and made a stop at Lake Tahoe. Beautiful is the only word that comes to mind. In between some very necessary pee-pauses. After passing Reno we started our trip into the desert. We ate at Wendy’s at Denny’s at ...; we had them all. All the clichés of the States came true.
The trip through the desert was devastatingly beautiful with a the sun setting, and the last light of the day slipping over the wide ranges.
We finally arrived at Burning Man dead tired but this tiredness dissipated after about 5 minutes. There was a big surprises waiting for us. It started with a busride witch took us to the devirgination of the burning man.
We got a trip on a magnificant bus and now we have to stop writing because everything we experienced after that is beyond description.
We can only finish by saying that we are SO proud of our colleagues... it’s more than asome what they've created. Everyone talks about the sculpture (The Belgian Waffle) of the Belgians and for the first time in our lives we are proud to be Belgians and Uchronians.
